In 2001, Coopers Brewery, always stalwart supporters of the arts in South Australia, enhanced the work of the Adelaide Critics Circle by sponsoring a much-needed and often requested award for outstanding work in the city's very vibrant Amateur Theatre world. Coopers Beer is a family business and its hand-made beers are the pride of the State - an art form in themselves. The city's amateur theatre critics joined the Circle and it was decided that the awards should be known as The Coopers. 2001 Coopers were presented by Coopers Marketing chief, the legendary Glenn Cooper: |
